About Us
Our village tours are a refreshing change from the bustle of the towns or the piped music and impersonal hurry of hotel life. Time seems to slow down to a relaxing pace for the visitor even before they enter Buyukkonuk. The rural landscape of the roads leading into the village represent a more traditional lifestyle with olive groves and flocks of sheep clanking their neck-bells as they graze amidst small stone-walled fields.
It is our aim to represent as close as possible the cultural heritage of Cyprus in our demonstrations. We share our own unique experiences and stories with our visitors as well as provide accurate information about what we are doing and showing.
We are members of the Slow Food association and practice their philosophy of food being ‘good, safe and local’. In our yard, we have a small farm of chickens, rabbits and goats as well as fruit trees and a vegetable garden which visitor are welcome to explore.
The activities are arranged on following pages into cuisine or craft work. All activities include refreshments. Water, coffee and teas are unlimited. As much as possible, our tours are interactive and visitors are encouraged to join in to learn ‘hands on’.
Information listed will include prices and other conditions, such as minimum and maximum number of guests for each experience.
